Food & Drinks

This is a Sarabat Stall - a drinks stall owned by a muslim. Their specialty is the 'Teh Tarik". Though these stalls are rare now, you can still taste the "Teh Tarik" at muslim drinks stalls in the hawker center.

Listen in on a group of Singaporeans, and you will find that one way or another, the topic will lead to food. Many Singaporeans discuss "What to Eat?" before the meal, "How's the food?" during the meal, and "Where's even better!" after they are done!

Most Singaporeans are deeply passionate about food as one of the best things about Singapore is the huge range of foods that the various communities have brought with them when they migrated here. These recipes have evolved to form a truly unique Singaporean or Regional style that cannot be found in their own original countries.

All these foods are easily available in Hawker Centres or Food Courts in Singapore. The range may be intimidating - but don't let that stop you!
