Getting Around Singapore

Taxis

The easiest way to get around would be by taxi. You can either queue for a cab at the designated taxi stands, or in the absence of one, flag for a cab. In the event that you simply could not see any cabs on the roads, you can also book for a taxi to pick you up at an additional fee of about $3.

Passengers are required to bear the cost of passing through ERP gantries during specified times or in restricted zones in addition to the taxi meter. The amount will be shown on the In-Vehicle unit located on the dashboard. There is also an extra 50% charge from midnight to 6 am.

For more information on taxis, you can click on the links of the various taxi service providers in Singapore.
